Utilities & installation

Find out how your KOYYA cabin connects to essential services like water, electricity, and heating.

Utilities & installation

When preparing for the installation of your KOYYA cabin, it’s important to consider the necessary utilities such as power, water, and wastewater systems. Whether you are opting for an on-grid or off-grid setup, here’s what you need to know:

On-Grid Installation

If you choose the on-grid version of your KOYYA cabin, you will need to ensure that essential utilities—such as electricity, water, and sewage—are available near the cabin site. The installation of these systems is the responsibility of the client. However, we will provide a plan to guide your local experts in the setup. By using our template, your specialists can efficiently handle the necessary installations to bring your cabin up to standard.

Off-Grid Installation

The turnkey off-grid setup is available only in the Netherlands. For off-grid installations outside the Netherlands, we recommend consulting a local expert to determine the best solution. We’re happy to share our knowledge but local expertise is key to compliance and optimal functionality.

Water Resources

Depending on your location, water can be sourced by drilling a well or collecting rainwater. Work with a local expert to determine the best solution and ensure compliance with local drinking water regulations.

Electricity Resources

For electricity, your KOYYA cabin can be equipped with a solar power system on the roof. However, local conditions and regulations may affect the feasibility of solar power installation. It’s important to consult with a local expert to confirm whether solar power is a viable option for your site.

Wastewater Management

Off-grid setups use a septic tank. For projects in the Netherlands, we can connect you with our local partner. Outside the Netherlands, we recommend working with a local expert to ensure proper wastewater management.
