Groundworks & Preparation

Discover what’s needed to prepare your site for installation, from foundation options to terrain considerations.

Groundworks & Preparation

Before your KOYYA cabin can be delivered and installed, some essential preparations need to be made to ensure everything runs smoothly. Our aim is to make the installation process as quick, efficient, and environmentally friendly as possible, while also providing you with the best possible base for your cabin. Here’s a guide to what needs to be done in advance:

Ground Screw Foundation

KOYYA cabins utilize ground screw foundations, which offer a solid and level base for your structure. These foundations can be installed year-round, in any weather condition, and are 70% faster than traditional concrete foundations. They can be installed on hard-to-access sites, uneven or sloping terrain, and even off-grid locations. This approach allows you to start enjoying your KOYYA sooner, whether it’s as a home office, studio, or garden room.

Necessary Preparations

To ensure the installation of your KOYYA goes as planned, the following preparations are required:

Permits – Make sure all necessary permits are in place. Regulations differ from country to country, so we advise you to consult local experts for guidance. Obtaining permit confirmation is crucial to meeting the planned delivery date.

Foundation – A (screw) foundation must be installed according to our specifications. We will provide you with templates to guide the installation of the foundation.

Utilities – Ensure that grid connections for power, drainage, and water are available at the site.

Off-Grid Setup – If you’re choosing an off-grid solution, a septic tank and your preferred water supply system, both based on our specifications, must be installed.
